Internyet and Nyetwork

Internyet and Nyetwork (pun totally intended) in Russia are erratic at best.

We take connectivity, data roaming, 5G etc totally for granted. I thought the issue was with us, and maybe our international roaming was glitching. When I saw the locals try to access translate apps, and give a sheepish grin and say 'nyet internet', I realised it wasn't my problem alone, and that I didn't have to send a strongly worded stinker to my service provider.

I picked up a data esim that's way more reliable than my international plan on Vodafone, whose roaming sucks.

So for anyone travelling this route, an alternative data heavy plan esim might be a good backup option.
