Weather apps are all rubbish

Privet.. from Sheremetyevo Alexander Pushkin Airport, Moscow.

When we started planning our trip, I checked multiple weather apps about weather forecasts for end of April to Mid May.

The forecasts told me to expect 10°/12° to 18°C. Plus or minus a degree or so here and there.

I kept checking every week for over 2 months and it stayed consistent.

2 days before we were due to depart, a cold front parks it's behind here. We prepped what we could in the last few hours.

We left a sweltering Delhi and landed in a snowing Moscow.

It's still snowing. Brings back Tsuruoka vibes.

It's so tempting to step out and build a snowman. The last time I built one would be Jan-Feb 2008 in Tsuruoka, Haguro-san and a humongous ugly one in Taranokidai.

We have nearly 7 hours between flights. We're just sitting around people watching at the airport. I am trying to learn the Cyrillic script from Google. Just to decipher the signs. I think if I think of the Greek character usage it should be fine.

Found a café here and figured out a vegetarian meal.

A barley soup with pickles vegetables, eggplant pepper and onion salad, rice and potatoes.

Fresh dill seems to be the seasoning of choice here.

As we were exiting the arrival area, trying to find the transfer terminal, a gentleman holding a sign made eye contact with us, asking if we were the people he was waiting for.

Couldn't resist. Asked the OH, "Do you want to be O'Brien or shall I?"

IYKYK. It's a Seinfeld reference.

What to do? I am so easily entertained.
